Maeystown is a small village located in Monroe County situated on the banks of the Mississippi River, approximately 25 miles south of St. Louis, Missouri. Founded in 1852 by German immigrants, the entire village is on the National Register of Historic Places – one of only a handful of communities in the country with that distinction. The Village is a popular stop for visitors making Tourism an important part of the village’s economy.
